Reader’s Rides & Import Tuners

well let me start like this, Once your in... there is no way out from seeing a magazine in your local stores with a honda or any written import article on it and that would convinced you to purchased,and spend the money and just to look at the cars an set up people are putting effort from hearing people talk about cars,I guess I am one of them that be talking about cars all the time, from me putting hard work to my own car and fixing it when it breaks. I street race with my car,but that was just not enough for me. Instead of getting into chases on the street and getting into trouble with the law because of drag racing. I decided to do it the right way and put my mind and heart into something that was worth it without getting into trouble. I decided to drag race at my local New England Dragway in New Hampshire and put down some good number. Instead, that wasn't it after trying to get into the 10s mark at the track with only 430 hp my first pass was a 11.060 at 129mph and as I am getting to the pit I guess I got in trouble for not having a roll cage and a helmet.thats when I said to myself "I am trying to stay out of trouble in the street but instead here i am still getting in trouble at the dragstrip for not having all this safety equipment." Now, I am telling myself is it the street or the dragstrip so with the help and idea from my friends and family and seeing that my  competitors are going all out on their car it only convinced me to invest some cash into my set up and at least trying to hit the 10s an get to drive home an still attend local street races. I decided to  get a new turbo and a few other things that I was missing to help make my car to be a little faster. So with the new set up that I got and a great tune help me make an incredible 609 hp which is still drivable to the track and attend any special  events. So that summer hot import war was coming up with this drag racing class in our track I said to myself that this is my opportunity to show what kind of power my car have. I was very excited and got my car ready and everything was all set.Then bam i pull up to the burn out box an i pull my e-brake an hit the gas pop the clutch an damn... this was crazy but I felt the blood rush and I was like "hell yeaaa thats what i am talking about lets go" So I got to the stage light and rev the car and took of a banging gear like if it was the only thing I was born to do, then suddenly before I even know it I am stepping on my brake and I didn't even get to glance at the tower instead I went up and grab my time slip to look at and i was damn with 609 hp, I got to even jump over the 10s an got into 9.962 at 144mph. That made me felt like I was the only one in my block to have a 9 sec street car. lol so I defeated my goal will this be the end nope......it only make me one step a little bit more closer to my dream.Next year will be a new beginning and I guess its not the end....
